DIAL -UP ACCOUNT ACCESS
NUMBER : (022)
- On the Username field type in your
username
- On the Password field type in your
password
Setting on Control Panel/Network
- Open Control Panel (START - Settings - Control
Panel)
- Choose icon Network
- Choose TCP/IP than look properties
- On Toolbar IP Address, choose Obtain an IP Address
automatically
- On Toolbar DNS Configuration, choose Disable
DNS
- On Toolbar Gateway, remove IP Gateway if on
installed gateways there is IP number
- Press OK 2 times for closing windows network
- Restart your Computer
Setting On Dial-up Networking
- Open Windows Dial-up Networking (START
- Programs - Accesorries - Dial up networking)
- Choose icon for getting connection to melsa,
examples : Melsa or Melsa, etc.
- Look properties (use right click on mouse until
menu properties shown)
- Choose server type
- On Type of Dial-Up Server choose: PPP:Windows
95, Windows NT 3.5, Internet.
- On Advanced options: Choose Enable software
compression.
- On Allowed network protocols Choose TCP/IP.
- Choose TCP/IP Settings
- For IP address, choose Server Assigned IP Address
- For DNS, choose Specify name server Addresses
- Fill Primay DNS with 202.138.224.2 and Secondary
DNS with 202.138.224.4.
- Then OK and close Dial-up Networking windows
- Open windows Dial Up Networking ( Start - Setting
- Internet and Dialup Connection )
- On the Dial Up Networking window, double click
Make New Connection
- Under Network Connections Type, choose Dial-up
to private network, and then click Next
- Under Phone Number to Dial, type in the area
code 022, Melsa Access Number 86061105, and choose Indonesia
on Country/region code.
- Under Connection Avaibility, type Melsa
for connection name, put a check mark by clicking the small
box next to Add a shortcut to my desktop. Click Finish.
- Double Click on the Melsa connection you`ve
just made.
- On the Melsa Dial-up dialog box, click
on Properties, click on Networking tab.
- Under Type of dial-up server I am calling, make
sure PPP: Windows 95/98/NT4/2000, Internet is selected, put
a mark check on Internet Protocol (TCP/IP ), and the click
on Properties.
- Use the following DNS Server Address, and fill
in the preferred DNS Server 202.138.224.2, and alternate DNS
Server 202.138.224.4. And then Click OK.
- Now, double click the Melsa icon to make
connection to the internet.
- Click on the Start button. Next, click on Control
Panel.
- Select the Network and Internet Connections
category.
- Pick the task, Set up or change your Internet
connection.
- Click the Create a new connection under Network
Tasks.
- The New Connection Wizard dialog box appears.
Click the Next button.
- Click the Connect to the Internet option to
choose a Network Connection Type. Click the Next button.
- Click Set up my connection manually in the Getting
Ready dialog box. Click the Next button.
- Click Connect using a dial-up modem in the Internet
Connection dialog box. Click the Next button
- In the Connection Name dialog box type in Melsa
in the ISP Name field. Click the Next button
- Type the Phone Number: 86061105. Click the Advanced
button.
- On the Advanced Connection Properties window,
click on the Addresses tab.
- Under DNS server addresses click on Always use
the following and then enter 202.138.224.2 on the Primary DNS
Server, and 202.138.224.4 on the Secondary DNS Server.
- Click the OK button, and Click on the Next button.
- Type in the your information in the User Name,
Password and Confirm Password fields. Click the Next button.
- Confirm the settings for your dial-in networking
in the Completing the New Connection dialog box.
- If you would like to add a Shortcut for your
Melsa account to your desktop then click the appropriate
check box.
- Click the Finish button to complete the process.
