SETTINGS FOR WINDOWS 95/98

Setting on Control Panel/Network

1. Open Control Panel (START - Settings - Control Panel)
2. Choose icon Network
3. Choose TCP/IP than look properties
4. On Toolbar IP Address, choose Obtain an IP Address automatically
5. On Toolbar DNS Configuration, choose Disable DNS
6. On Toolbar Gateway, remove IP Gateway if on installed gateways there is IP number
7. Press OK 2 times for closing windows network
8. Restart your Computer

   Setting On Dial-up Networking

1. Open Windows Dial-up Networking (START - Programs - Accesorries - Dial up networking)
2. Choose icon for getting connection to melsa, examples : Melsa or Melsa, etc.
3. Look properties (use right click on mouse until menu properties shown)
4. Choose server type
5. On Type of Dial-Up Server choose: PPP:Windows 95, Windows NT 3.5, Internet.
6. On Advanced options: Choose Enable software compression.
7. On Allowed network protocols Choose TCP/IP.
8. Choose TCP/IP Settings
9. For IP address, choose Server Assigned IP Address
10. For DNS, choose Specify name server Addresses
11. Fill Primay DNS with 202.138.224.2 and Secondary DNS with 202.138.224.4.
12. Then OK and close Dial-up Networking windows

Setting Dial Up Connecion on Windows 2000

1. Open windows Dial Up Networking ( Start - Setting - Internet and Dialup Connection )
2. On the Dial Up Networking window, double click Make New Connection
3. Under Network Connections Type, choose Dial-up to private network, and then click Next
4. Under Phone Number to Dial, type in the area code 022, Melsa Access Number 86061105, and choose Indonesia on Country/region code.
5. Under Connection Avaibility, type Melsa for connection name, put a check mark by clicking the small box next to Add a shortcut to my desktop. Click Finish.
6. Double Click on the Melsa connection you`ve just made.
7. On the Melsa Dial-up dialog box, click on Properties, click on Networking tab.
8. Under Type of dial-up server I am calling, make sure PPP: Windows 95/98/NT4/2000, Internet is selected, put a mark check on Internet Protocol (TCP/IP ), and the click on Properties.
9. Use the following DNS Server Address, and fill in the preferred DNS Server 202.138.224.2, and alternate DNS Server 202.138.224.4. And then Click OK.
10. Now, double click the Melsa icon to make connection to the internet.

Setting Dial Up Connection on Windows XP

1. Click on the Start button. Next, click on Control Panel.
2. Select the Network and Internet Connections category.
3. Pick the task, Set up or change your Internet connection.
4. Click the Create a new connection under Network Tasks.
5. The New Connection Wizard dialog box appears. Click the Next button.
6. Click the Connect to the Internet option to choose a Network Connection Type. Click the Next button.
7. Click Set up my connection manually in the Getting Ready dialog box. Click the Next button.
8. Click Connect using a dial-up modem in the Internet Connection dialog box. Click the Next button
9. In the Connection Name dialog box type in Melsa in the ISP Name field. Click the Next button
10. Type the Phone Number: 86061105. Click the Advanced button.
11. On the Advanced Connection Properties window, click on the Addresses tab.
12. Under DNS server addresses click on Always use the following and then enter 202.138.224.2 on the Primary DNS Server, and 202.138.224.4 on the Secondary DNS Server.
13. Click the OK button, and Click on the Next button.
14. Type in the your information in the User Name, Password and Confirm Password fields. Click the Next button.
15. Confirm the settings for your dial-in networking in the Completing the New Connection dialog box.
16. If you would like to add a Shortcut for your Melsa account to your desktop then click the appropriate check box.
17. Click the Finish button to complete the process.
